Default 5th gen front bumper q

Just wondering, is it just me or do most of the 5th gen front bumpers sag a little? I was looking at mine and my friends and they both sag just a little, was wondering if anyone else has noticed this about their 5th gen...

My friends doesn't "sag" at all. I've seen quite a few civics with sagging front bumpers though.

i dont mean sag like a huge sag, just the gap towards the front of the fender and bumper is a little bigger than the back, not much though, its hardly noticible, i only noticed cuz i was looking at the front of my car for about 15 mins waiting for my friend to come out of his house

haha I noticed that too with hella 5th gen Ludes in pics and in person. I took my front bumper off once and its not held on as good as honda should have made it, well at least in my opinion. I got an older generation accord 1987 and I can literally step on the front bumper with both feet and put my entire weight on the car and move it up and down and the nothing happens to it. but if I was to do that with my 5th gen Lude(which I would never ever do duh) It wont survive. Its held on a screw near the wheels at the top, then there are two clip like things on each side , two more around the headlight area then also held on by gay plastic screw like things in the middle which I think suck, oh yeah and of course there are also screws at the bottom. I took my bumper off cuz the gap between the bumper and the fenders were uneven like what you mentioned. I fixed it tho(well the right side is a bit off still cuz my headlights needs adjustment and is on the way). Turns out that the lil clip like things on the sides and front were sagging, kind of bent down. I just bent em back to place. And if you do take your bumper off, don't rush it cuz those clip like things I talked about kind of locks on the bumper and if you just pull it out in a retarded way your bumper will get messed up cuz there are lil slot like things on the bumper (kind of like a lil rectangular cut outs at the edges of the bumper) and its pretty easy to mess up.

is this what you mean by sagging?...http://hkn.eecs.berkeley.edu/~rgulat.............damn this lude is pretty clean...kinda looks liek mine

well the newer prelude or most cars for that matter use a bumper cover with a steel bumper inside .. the old accord had an actual bumper that was the same steel bumper but with just some trim covering it.. so if you took the front end off your lude and saw the steel bumper yolu could step on it just the same..

I got a dumb question....whats the black round "bar" thing behind the bumper right in the center before the radiator...i never noticed it till today and it doesnt look like its hooked up to anything. Seems like its on rubber bushing or soemthing. Just wondering.

you mean the round bar or something? well, that is the strut bar that honda put on these cars. Learned that from someone else. A 10" strut bar, hahahahaha.

It's a vibration dampener for the car.
