Default painting valve cover - paint temp question

I got textured black wrinkle paint. On the back it lists valve covers as an application for the paint, but it does not mention withstanding high temperatures. How hot does the valve cover typically get, and do you think this paint will work?

one time i touched a valve cover after running my engine and it burnt me. I went "ouch" and went home to cry to mommy.

But seriously if it lists it as an application then it must work I couldn't imagine your engine making enough heat to burn that crap.

It should work fine, the wrinkle finish I had was specifily for car stuff, so if its that kind then you are ok, if its not then you are most likely fucked.
