Default Ran at track lastnight. Ls/Vtec

Well after getting my car tuned "just fuel and ignition" from "fuccarlos" I ran at a local track lastnight. Stock b18b1 Block with Alaniz head, skunk2 stg2cams, DTR header on some 22" m&h's. I managed to get a 13.70@95.9 with a 1.8 6oft. Keep in mind that im in El Paso,TX which is about 4000 ft above sea level. What do you all think I should do to get a faster time. I just ordered a headlight ram air kit. I was thinking maybe some skunk2 drag launch springs and some traction bars. Cuz i kept spinning off the line at 11lbs psi. -Paul

nice time for a stock block.youll need some traction bars and better motor mounts.get the block built and youll be in the 12s.

Report back once you get the traction bars and launch springs.

I don't understand how you can run these cams with that compression unless the head has been milled some. Sk2 stage 2's are fairly aggresive, if I'm not mistaken you're runnin MAYBE a 9:5-10:1 compression......what head are you using(gsr/b16?) And that sea level baffles me.......hmmmmmm. If true, MUCH props, you have a quick car.

Yeah let me clarify. Its a stock honda parts block. It has JDM p30 pistons which are still smaller than CTR's and all of Joes heads from alaniz are milled about 30 thousandths. So it sits right under 12:1

i can vouch for this. i live here too and our times do suck compared to the rest of the country. stock s2k's only run a 15.0-14.8 at best and stock z06 vette's run about 13.0 on stock rubber

That's pretty good. At sea level...you should see at least half a second off ur time.
