Something i've been wondering for sometime...
Ok i am by no means a car expert, but i have alot of time to think and i can come up with some decent ideas....so we come to my question
I have ALOT of camber wear on both of my fron tires. Enough that when i bought new tires within 3 months of normal driving the inside was bald and showing metal.
Now i talked to the guys at discount tires and told them i want an alignment but they said i don't need it ( i seriously doubt that with New Mexico roads), the car isn't lowered, it had both axles bad (they would click on turns) and i think the shocks are pretty much dead. Also it has a salvage title so there could possible be front end damage i don't know about.
So all that listed what could cause my tires to get eaten up so freakin fast?

get an allignment. i made myself a tool so i can do it myself, but it is probally easieer to just take it smewhere. i made a tool because i change suspension setups so often.
so did the axles being bad have anything to do with it? in the book i have it said something about it. but it'll have new axles when i put in another engine

Shocks absorb road imperfections ( bumps, potholes, big rocks) they have nothing to do on how the car sits, a bad spring can play a little role but unless there really bad your car will still be around its normal height. Axles do not play a role in an alignment, also when you say your inner tires are getting bald I think of camber before I think of toe.
