Default Exhaust Cutout E-cutout McCord DMH Quicktime

Thinking of putting an e-cutout on my car with stock exhaust...

Anyone have any experience with any one of these?

i have a quicktime cut-out on my downpipe (i have a wrx btw). Its a good unit, takes a little less then 5 seconds to go from full closed to fully opened and vice versa. Some people like the DMH because they say it was constructed and designed better. The quicktime is not a bad piece at all, i like it for the price.

DMH 100%! I love mine, and wouldn't get anyother brand, strictly because of the quality, and 4 year warantee.

I dunno, I'm bouncing from DMH to McCord at the moment.. McCord because its cheaper and DMH because it looks damn sweet!

Are there any clearance problems?

I have about 1" of clearance (literaly 1" ) with my 3" and like a 3" drop, but I am in the process of having the cutout dump right before the front wheel out the bumper because I would like the extra 2-3" of clearance that I lost, and then when I hit the 2-step I won't have to worry about the flames catching the underneath on fire

Had the mccord, wire solder fell apart after a month, gears inside the gearbox were broken somehow.. . .
The owner of mccord told me he would send me the gears free of charge, so I give them credit. . .
I may just sell it and get the DMH one. . .

I know this is coming back from the dead, but I'm just wondering how one would go about 'sealing it right'? Are you reffering to the welds around Y pipe?

My old QTP fell apart on me. The screws kept vibrating loose, even with locktight. Maybe the flex pipe should me welded before the cut out, to dampen the vibrations?
