Default 99 Accord ex Hesitates

When at a dead stop I accelerate and my rps will rise but I only move slightly as if it was'nt going into first gear. It only does this maybe twice a week. I checked and its not putting out any codes or anything. If I take it to the dealer to have it serviced will they be able to do aything? Could this be caused by something other than the transmission?

Trans seems most likely, but it could be dragging or sticking brakes. I would lift each wheel and check for free rotation. Note, pads will rub slightly on disc brakes but resistance is very low.

I would drain and replace trans fluid w/ Honda ATF before taking it to shop. Trans repairs can be expensive, and a used trans replacement may be cheaper than diagnosis/repair.

good luck
