How's $149 for Toyo T-1's??

How's $149 for Toyo T-1's??

I was quoted $149 each for Toyo T1's 205/40/17's. $179 each including mounting and balancing. Is this a rip off? I really like the Toyo T1's, but they're more than I remember. Any other recommendations for a good, high performance tires that cost a little less? Around $100 each.

You can get Kumhos around 110 I believe, but they probably won't handle nearly as well as the toyo

$149 per tire is a fairly good price for the T1-S in that size.
Now, $30 for mounting & balancing per tire is a rip off.

Here is my budget minded recommendation.
Sumitomo HTRZ 2's.
Don't be so quick to think that Sumitomo is a generic brand.
In fact, they manufacture tires for Dunlop.

Treadwear is rated at 220. That should be soft enough to provide excellent grip.

The price is $99 per tire in size 205/40/17's @ www.onlinetires.com.
