Would you give up a stock b18c5 for the chance to build and own a turbo b20 vtec?

Yea, you could give it up and sell the b18c5 to me...hehehehe jk But the b20 vtec with the turbo should be pretty sweet and quick too.

i'd stay with the b18c5 for reliabilaty.<spelled wrong.

 

b18c1 with the extra 1000 to put in some special goodies

or better yet d16a with the extra 3200 to put in some nice allmotor goodies to get low 12s

 

there is no way to get in 12's all motor with a d16... its just not possible...

 

okay when i build my d16 and run 12s ill send you a post card with my time slip stamped on it...

and my motor plan has already been track proven

and if a d15 can run 11.20s allmotor,... why couldnt a d16 run 12s????

 

i think a b20 vtec would spank a b18c5s *** all day long especially with turbo, yeah the 1.5L runs 11s but its stroked out to a 2.0 and its not daily driven if your going full race then its possible.

 

his motor isnt stroked to a 2.0.... its 15xx'cc... nor is it nos'd nor is it 84mm pistons nor is it alcohol meth nitro, and the latest one.. NO he is not running individual throttle bodies

and 12 second 1/4 miles .daily driven 92 octane full interior single cam non vtec has already been done

Keep the C5, in order to get that frankensteine engine to work properly and be as reliable as the C5, you better have a good job.

a turbo'd c5 is fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! been in one....almost died in one!!!!!!!!

 

i agree.. i personally think itr hatches are fast enough as is.. then again i'm not big into drag racing..

 

even tho the b20 turbo is faster i would rather have the more limited itr motor

 

sell me your b18c5 and i will give you my ls vtec

 

yeah that guy bizis crx is stroked to a 2.0 just like the other guy lnatural his h22 is a 2.4.

 

i dont know the people from lnatural but i heard its custom crank 2.6 liter ...


but its not a 2.0 liter d15 stroked..... its a 1.5 liter 1.5 liter... not stroked to a 2.0

dont believe me and want to bet it all... i accept money orders...

man dont turbo the c5, its a high crompression engine for a reason, it wasent ment to be a turbo'd beast it was ment to be a all motor MONSTER!
