yes i have aebs sleeves. i see most of you guy say ringland. You guy think all 4 cylinder?? Drove the car home today from my dad store. I notice it bog threw out the rpm and would not idle. But when i was close to home about 12 miles away the car idle fine and no longer bog until i hit higher rpm. what do you guy suggest i do??? Should i pull the head and drop the pan and pop the pistons out to see if it the rings or ringlands? or should i pull the whole motor out?/
1 more note when i got home and car was idleing in my drive way i pop the hood and there was no smoke coming out of breather or oil filler. breather is pushing out a lot of air tho is that normal.
White smoke means headgasket. Do you smell any coolant?Sometimes rings do not show up on a compression test. Try a leak down test, and see what the results are. Good luck.
your sleeves may have settled, i had a comany do my darton sleeves last year, and the same thing started to happen to me, until boom head gasket blew, after tearin her apart found out that the sleves had sunk .020 and were gonna go another .010. i was fu$#ed
edge brothers, they were highly recomended by darton, after that hole ordeal edge bros told me to go F myself and darton hooked me up with some new m.i.d. sleeves.I know lots of people use them and they usually do good work, but they were totally jackasses to me.
