post-turbo exhaust leak effect o2 sensor readings/engine performance?

i read that all it would be is just noisy... but what about the o2 sensor... doesn't the ecu take those readings to change a/f or other parameters?

can anyone help?...

an exhaust leak could give a false lean reading
