Default fist time at the track Turbo Sohc!!!

well I only got 2 runs in and they werent too great as far as my driving went. The tree started to drop as soon as I staged i litterally didnt have time to get my revs up so I bogged on both runs.

1st run 4psi missing 3rd

r/t .7
60' 2.58
1/4 15.3
mph 91.3

2nd run, bogging again 8psi
r/t 0.685
60' 2.51
1/4 14.32
mph 101.9

I have 4 more psi and a crower cam to put on my d16z6, but I was happy with the trap speed for bogging down like I did. Once I use the two step on the uberdata I think I will be doing better and for 8psi I think ~102 trap speed is great for coming off the line like I did. Maybe I have 13's in my future with better driving, and definitely with 12psi and a cam not to mention wide band tuning.

btw this is in a 92 dx hatch, full leather and a 30lb amp rack in the hatch floor

You trapped 101mph.. that's good for 13s already. Just get your 60ft. down to 2.2. Also, whats your current setup.. I also have a D16Z6 Coupe with a T3 Super 60 turbo at about 5.5psi. Last time I went to the track, I ran a 14.9 @ 94mph and I had a 60ft. of 2.5. So I'm thinking my car is good for mid 14s with a 2.2 60ft.

Anyways, whats your setup?

get that 60' down to a 2.2 and you should hit 13.7-13.8 easy on 8psi. On 10psi id say 13.4-5ish

my setup is a mildly built d16z6 5k miles
saab turbo T3 .48 .42 (8psi)
rx-7 460 injectors
uberdata
open downpipe 2.5" mandrel bent
shotpeened rods
stock pistons
arp studs all around

looking to free up some more horsepower, so maybe a STR intake mani and a zex cam, unless people recommend a better cam

I was at the track running with yusoslo last night. I got a 98 ex coupe with a boosted y8.

ARP headstuds
zex stage 2 cam
zex valvesprings
tiny wrx turbo @9psi with a fucked up wastegate that causes me to spool super slow.
jrc 6" intercooler
dsm 450's
obd1 p28 with uberdata untuned

I ran a few 14.1 @ 100.xxmph still need to get my 60's down as well .

With slicks you could hit 12's, but defintely at least low 13's. I am going to the track again on the 23rd and should have no problem hitting 12's. My best right now was 13.3 @ 102 mph (1.9 60 foot) with some very used 22 inch slicks. My best on drag radials was 13.4 @ 105 mph (2.0 60 foot). This is in a full interior 95 civic coupe ex.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by d15b7racer &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">wow u plan on 12 psi on a stock z6? little risky dont you think? but yeah considering your 60ft., 13's should be well in reach. get some slicks....guarantee hit 13s</TD></TR></TABLE>

It's not risky at all if tuned well. I have been running 10 psi (215whp) for about 7 months and I rape my car hard daily. I was runnig 12 psi (230whp) for a while, but my shitty internal WG sucks and it would spike to 14 psi and then drop to 12, so I decided to turn it down until I hit the track. Once I get a tial external WG I am planning on running a solid 14-15 psi at the track and maybe hit the dyno up again. At that much boost I am going to be a little worried, but I think it will hold. Once I have my built motor ready to drop in I am really going to crank the boost up.

me and yusoslo were both running your new uberdata 1.6 maps on these runs. We still need to tune some of our own maps though.

That 60' is killing you. I used to have the same problem because I would just dump the clutch. I got it down to a 2.2 by roasting/burning/feathering the clutch while revving pretty damn high (street tires). But yea, you're in 13's easily with a good launch.

put some slicks on

anything trappng 100mph or more is territory of 13's

how high do you guys think I need to launch with my slow spooling turbo? I was launching between 3500-4000.

I wouldnt worry about the launching really because that will all change once you fix your waste gate and you get boost correctly. when you switch to the external wastegate its going to make all the differnce in the world. I think if you still pull the same 60ft's you would still beat youf time by .3 tenths or more atleast. Then after practiceing launching. I see mid 13's easily

Same for you BJ, get those chargepipes to stay on + some better 60ft times and your car should be puttin down some awesome times.
