How many bolts connect the engine and transmission and where are they? Can you get the engine out without removing the transmission?

 

(1) M10 bolt [14mm head] from underneath the starter

(3) M14 bolts [17mm head] on the tranny side going into the engine block

(2) M14 bolts [17mm head] on the bottom of the engine side going in to the tranny

Then there's the misc. rear mount (1x17mm head bolt, and 2x19mm head bolts) and tranny bracing underneath (2x17mm head bolts) that need to come off too.
