Well for starters, you'll need some higher compression pistons. Upgrading the carbs also gives good results. Cam, cam gear and careful tuning, maybe with a fuel pressure regulator. Aftermarked spark control could be of use as well. You'll basically have to do all the stuff the EFI guys do, except without the expense of injectors and pissed off sensors and stuff. And don't let anyone tell you it can't be done!
