Default ITR 01-0244 get's interior pimpage via m00gen and sp00n!!!

Well, i got my Mugen fg360 mounted with NRG quickrelease. I'm going to pick up a splash short hub to move the wheel back closer to stock location as right now it's a little close. First impressions: IT'S AWESOME! Not just because of the obvious mugen bling, but the feel is so much better than the stock wheel, it's more comfortable and felt great on my long car ride today.

Second piece of blingage is the Spoon titanium shift ****. It's super light weight, someone compared it to an eggshell, and honestly it might weigh less. I like it, but i don't think it's for everyone.

Now on to the pics:

Thanks for looking

You know the great thing about this hobby, everyone has their own thing, and i fully respect that... Thing is, I don't race my car I just drive it on the street. I was worried at first about no airbag, but i've read so many articles about how airbags do more harm than good, that i'm not really worried anymore, especially since i allways where my seatbelt.

Thanks for the comments everyone

No, NONE, i was worried, cause i'd read a couple different people's take on the NRG, some said it had a little play, some said it had none...well, i can say for a fact that mine has NO play, it's as sturdy as can be.

Oh, and i had someone ask me about the little switch below the radio, that's to manually operate the power antenna, so when i'm listening to a CD i can leave the 27' antenna mast down, haha...and I also noticed my Recaro cell phone holder made it into the shot...when my girlfriend saw that she was all like "OMG...that's the cutest thing you've done to your car yet...let me guess, you did that cause you knew i'd like it, hehe"...haha.

That wheel is absolutely PIMP'ed tha f**k out. I love it. I bet it cost an arm and a nut. What did you do about the SRS light? Just leave it on? After I installed my Sparco Flash 5 wheel it totally changed the feel of the car. Hope your new wheel does the same. I like the shift **** too. If I wasn't already rockin' the Mugen **** I'd be drivin' to A&J to get that one. Enjoy.

haha, after i got the Spoon **** my Mugen went into retirement in it's box, maybe i'll have to break it out so it can be with it's big brother steering wheel, haha.

I'm going to wire a 2ohm resister in between the two srs wires, i've heard that works to eliminate the light and fool the computer into thinking the airbag's still there.

Do you really like the spoon ****. It weighs absolutely nothing, Im surprised you like it over the mugen or anything that has some weight to it.

well, the mugen **** is pretty light, both are considerably lighter than the ITR ****. I think it has a firm shift, but i never really bought into the whole weighted **** thing...I like a light **** that shifts fast...just my preference.

That's the best. I have been meaning to do that I've just been busy. I have the instructions for that but it sounds like your all over that like white on rice. Good luck.

Shouldn't be to complicated...i managed to get the SRS spool out without breaking it, and then just unplugged the horn wire and snipped the srs wires cause i couldn't get the plug to pull out and was getting tired of messing with it. I'll wire it all up tommorow

WARNING!!!

please be gentle w/ that spoon shiftknob
i was the one of first people to find out about that shiftknob and had it
and it was dirt cheap back then b/c no one knew about it
anyways, it's not as strong as you think it is.
one day i was cruising around and when i changed gear, shiftknob bends
so i was like wtf? did i bend my buddy club short throw shifter? and when i pulled over to check, the shift **** was ripped from it's base
if you haven't noticed, that shiftknob is hollow inside unlike oem.
i'll post pic of it as soon as i can find that shiftknob rolling around some where in my room

Changing the oem steering wheel is the best move you can make.

Spoon has released a reinforced version with a stronger base...that's what mine is. Thanks for looking out though

Looks nice.

About the SRS. As long as you know what your insurance will do and are prepared for the consequences if you unfortunately get into an accident.......

It looks like the Mugen wheel paired with that hub makes it extend out a lot farther than the stock wheel. Is it really sticking out that far, or is it just an illusion?

it's the hub + the quick release. I think i'm going to pick up a short splash hub to fix the problem
