many junk yards in new territories... just ask some locals... they can help you out... or buy an options magazine hong kong version... and there addresses for car places... and i think junk yards if i remember correctly.

I am in HK as well......I know the headlights (type R or regular) are common as u can find them in most junk yards in the N.T. area. The bumper and fenders will be a little harder.....just buy the 6 dollar weekly Option HK magazine and there are usually tons of ads on JDM parts. The $35 monthly Option magazine will not give u any info. on used JDM parts.

Just out of curiosity, will it actually be more cost effective to buy the parts straight from Japan/HK and bring them back with you? (Do not include the price for air fare) I assume that there are lot of parts beyond the headlights, fenders, hood, bumper, and radiator support.

Or is it more cost effective to buy from IPS or Godspeed?

Hey Crunch... YOUR in hk??? hehe im here visiting from vancouver..... really hoping to pack everything into suitcase haha....

so JDM headlights are easy to find eh? that is good....
i need the fenders and jdm radiator support....

i hear most packages for frontends include 2 headlights/ 2 fenders / 1 jdm radiator support / 1 hood / 1 bumper... well i dont want bumper or hood because those will be really hard to bring onto plane... headlights/fenders are suitcase fitable i think haha... and then raditor i guess i can put into a really big box....

hey do u mean the 6 dollare weekly option magazine as the ones you find on the streets? the ones where they have on hte stands?

hehe gchan I wish you were here... i really dunno where to go... as you can see my loser *** is still on line... hehe... i wish someone could take me around to see the fun stuff... i mean parents and family will take you to places to see... which is kool.. but im young... i wanna see like kool stuff you know.. nice cars... car meet ups... dunno if they have em here... like young ppl hang outs (safe places htough ehhe)

hey crunch if you can give me more tips on the N.T.Area that would be great... i m a real newbie here...

Take a taxi and ask the taxi driver to take you to "Yuen Long". There are hundreds of junk yards there, but you will have a lot of walking. It's better to call those junk yards to see if they have the parts you want, then you go there. You can forget the car shop in Mongkok if you are looking for OEM JDM parts. They won't have any. They only sell performance parts.

It's really hard to say how much. You can't get these parts from the dealer for sure cuz all the type r's there are not imported by the Honda dealer. If you go to the junk yards, they may not want to sell u just the radiator support or the head light. They may ask you to buy the whole front clip. You'll never know, so you have to call and ask. It may be cheaper for you to buy the whole front clip. Too bad I just postponed my trip to go there til early next month. I was supposed to go there tomorrow. Otherwise, I can spend a Sunday to take u around.

well even though i'm not there there's a rave at kai tek air port on the dec 22...
don't know who the DJ's are... could be good... or could be a flop...
other places to go, lan kwai fong... girls, girls, girls... u can speak english there and get a long fine... that's where i hung out most of my high school years...
there's also tsim sha tsui, and causewaybay...
anyways about mong kok, was only suggesting him to ask people around there for directions to junk yard with pictures of a JDM front end... it's hard to tell people directions you know, maybe they'll write something in chinese, and let the taxi driver read it or something...

ok...I just found this ad in a local magazine call "Hot Machine"

96 spec Integra HID headlights
98 spec Integra HID headlights
JDM Integra Type R steering wheel
Accord Euro R gunmetal Rims with tires
Accord Euro R Recaro Bucket seats
and all other used OEM JDM parts and performance parts......

The number is 852-6178-0885...There is no english name on the ad, but the chinese name is "Yung Fung auto car" or something like that......

It is located in Yuen Long as well......give them a call and see if u can find the stuff u need.......me and my friend are planning to go to GT Sport. A HUGE store in the Yuen Long area which has TONS of stuff on display. Should go check it out if you happen to be in the yuen long area as well.
Good Luck shopping, e-mail me if u need anymore help

LOL Hot Machine yea I remember that one. Hella cheap 10bucks each. Well sometimes their info isn't very useful though. Anyway used Honda parts are pretty popular especially R parts. They are always gone in a few days or less.

U will see lots of engines from Toyota AE101, 110, 111 though...laying all around...but hardly find a TypeR engine laying around.

just tell them u wanna convert your integra from the 4 round lights to the one piece square light. They should know what is needed. I have seen people do that conversion here in HK as well.

Good luck carrying them in your super size suit case...hee hee....
I broght back a set of rims 2 summers ago from HK as well....hee hee

I was there last christmas thinking about doing the same thing, but between the language barrier (my cantonese SUCKS.) and not knowing there to start, it just isn't worth it. buy one here. If I had found that Honda Access DC2 chin spoiler over there, I would have bought one. I couldn't find one anywhere. I went to Felix and GP Club who sort of knew what it was but it was going to be a special order. The Honda dealer's parts department didn't know what the **** was going on, when I showed them a picture and EVERY single round headlight I saw in HK car had them! I ended up getting from AJR. It was easier in retrospect. It would have been a pain in the *** bringing one back. I can't imagine shipping back used unboxed sheetmetal by yourself. It going to be such a pain in the ***. And you have to go way out of the city to find the junkyards. It would not be worth it.

But HK does have some sweet Hondas though. I saw a white 98R coupe and 96R sedan, along with a black CTR and a nice white Integra SIR-G (chromed headlamp housing with our GSR wheels, lowered, R chin spoiler and wing).
