Default BMC airbox

Read that this carbon airbox might give you 10-11 hp more. Anyone tested it?

I'd say "BS" because nothing short of f/i on an S would add 10+ hp. It is maxed out already. The engineers had made almost everything as efficient as possible to get 240hp from a tiny 2L engine.

I have an AEM V2 cai and it probably gives 3hp peak, but it improves lowend torque and hp as well. I think that's the case with most CAI's.

Sorry but your wrong, this motor is not tuned as efficient as possible.. the only thing restricting us to make more power is the ECU. Plug in a AEM EMS and see how much bolt ons make to our cars.

I didn't say it's tuned as efficient as possible, but it's very close. Bolt-on's will improve but not as much as we'd hope for, even with AEM EMS.

I dont know how much people are expecting to improve a 2.0L N/A motor with just bolt ons, a EMS with the proper I/H/E can gain some respectable numbers.

even an EMS on a stock s2000 will have good gains as demonstrated on AEM's forum, only thing NOT stock on it was an intake.

But I'm surprised you're not getting tired of repeating that the s2000 can be improved upon in the NA department.

Open your mind engimaofs2k and see through rumors.

Exactly. Vapor has proved time and time again (to all the "n00bs" who hop on this forum spouting things such as "this motor is perfectly tuned from factory") that the AEM EMS does wonders for the car. Even for minor tuning, the Apexi V-AFC does some good things as well.
