Default Hey Guys, im gettin an R soon, can i get your opinions?

^as the topic states.

Well, i have been looking for a car and i finally spotted a 97' itr. ill post up the link, can you guys take a look at it? and tell me if you think its a good price, good condition, worth the asking $$, and worth the 40 minute drive to get it. etc.

By the way, i ran a carfax report, and it came up with nothing bad about it and just him as the owner.

Thanks Alot Guys!
I Really Appreciate it.

Oh yeah, heres the link

They're asking a bit much. You can find 2001 ITR's for that much.

Seems to be a nice car. But, a bit too many miles for the asking price of $19.5k. I would pay $19.5k if it had less than 35,000 miles. But, 53k miles is a bit much for that price. I guess it's all how you look at it.

try seeing if he's willing to lower the pricce a good bit, if not walk away from it. i know your probably thinking you wont be finding another R and blah blah, but they are out there.

look around some more, ive seen 00 and 01 R's with less than 20k on the odo going for that much. including an 00 FBP for 19500 with 9k on her !

take a glance at itrca's sale forum as well.

wow, 40 minute drive. That's nice. Maybe you can talk down the price a bit. I'll come check it out and give an assessment, for my usual inspection fee.

chris - who thinks, wait, i dont have a 'usual inspection fee'. huhu.

Thanks for all the replies guys.. any ideas on how to get him to lower the price? I have a 93ls right now, and i love integras! im just looking for something faster 'stock' even though im going to be bolting on a turbo and all those goodies. But for now, im gonna keep it stock, which is why i wanted it to be quick already. lol. I guess 40 minutes isnt that far. But i am seriously going to need to get the price lower or else my parents arent gonna get her for me any ideas on lowering the price?

I have been looking around for a good 2 months, and i am only looking for an R! i have seen a few GSRs with good prices, but i dont want that! This is the only R i have came across which is why i am kind of stuck to it. I Dont kno what to do.

oh yeah, what is a FBP and a PY? Also, how come i see some R's with the All Red tails, while this one has the amber with it?

much <3

How do you know how old he is?

Just keep coming on this board, usually 1-2 people a week decide to sell, then redecide not to sell. Just flash some of the right $ signs in front of some of these faces, and you will have a car in no time.

Walk away from it if he does not lower the price. That car should be in the 17k range. Just wait for it and the perfect one will come along.

It's close enough to you that you might as well give it a shot. What's the worst thing that can happen?

Maybe he's intentionally got the price up in the stratosphere to keep away 90% of people who offer no good advice other than 'its too expensive'.

I bet he'll take less, how much less? Bring your negotiating skills and good luck! (15-17k is what i'd say is max)
