Is my subwoofer still useable, or should I fix this somehow??
i let my buddy borrow my 10" sealed rockford awhile back and for the last couple of months he has kept it in storage. I finally got him to dig it out, and I just realized this morning that it had this big rip on the top of the cone (or whatever its called.. just look).
There isn't a hole straight through, and it feels like its overall still intact, but I was just wondering if theres a chance I may end up damaging the sub even more if I tried to use it like this. I'm not sure if my friend used it like this, but I'm thinking this happened while he was moving out of his house.
Is there even a way to fix this? I thought about glue or weather stripping adhesive or something, but I figured I'd probably be screwing with the dynamics of it and possibly blow it out faster..
Anyway here are the pics. What do you guys think?? Thanks in advance!

this is a comon question, as long as you didn;t mess up the motor structure its fine. just try to fix the hole as best you can. super glue, or mayeb tape it from the backside. and it will be just fine.
You can't hurt it any mor than it already is. When the recone speakers usually the voice coile comes pre-attatched to the cone. In other word in order to fix the cone they would replace the voice coil anyways.
