i swapped an LS/Vtec into my ek hatch i keep getting that annoying idle, it jumps from 1000 to 1800 up and down, up and down. it has a GSR head with skunk2 intake manifold. had the original gsr throttle body then changed it to a SI throttle body with a new gasket and it stopped for a while, then the annoying idle came back. i already changed the idle control valve and sealed everything for air leaks. please help me, this is driving me crazy.

 

its probably your TPS, throttle positioning sensor u should un plug it and see if it idles alright. Its goiing to steadily idle at like 1100 probably. It located behind the TB on IM facing the bottom of the car. Hope that helps.

 

Did you get any CEL?

 

you will def get a CEL with the TPS unplugged but if it is at least u know its that. And those things are not cheap.
