RIP: cleanest sol i've ever seen [ story inside ]
You guys might recognize Advan06's Del Sol from a recent thread of mine [ look in sig ]. It is seriously the nicest Sol i've seen ever, and it will forever be famous because of the trailer pics.

Earlier today, we were rolling [ sorry about the quality, its kind of rough driving and snapping at the same time]:

We snapped a few photos at Highway 1 / Bonny Doon Road:

Then afterwards, we started to head back .. we were cruising northbound on Hwy17. We were moving along at about 65mph or so (speed limit varied from 50 to 65). T0ekn3e was leading, Advan06 was in the middle, and i brought up the rear. We were rounding a 50mph curve when it happened. I was probably a good 2~3 seconds behind Advan06 when I saw some ******** in a white sedan (coupe?) swerve into our lane (we were in the left lane). After that, everything else happened in slow motion. I could feel my foot letting off the gas and applying the brakes. I watched in horror as Advan06's driver side front fender clip the center dividing median. It bounced off the wall and the back end gave. It did a 180, swerved into the right lane, and his driver side backend hit the gaurd rail in the right lane. It rolled for a little bit before coming to a stop. At that point, I was safely passing on the leftside and pulling over... I could see T0eKn3e doing the same up ahead of us. I stopped and got out and started running towards the Sol. I could see Advan06 climbing out of his window .. and I felt relieved. I'm sure we all did. He walked away with some bruises. But as I neared the Sol, my heart sank. The cleanest Sol I've ever seen ...
That's all of the dmg I was able to get .. maybe there will be more photos later. At first glance, it looks fixable. But now, he thinks there may be frame damage. We'll see I suppose.
Random comment from him afterwards: goddamn the avs es100s SUCKS!
and at his request, i am posting the photos.
i'm sure i speak for many of us when i say: Advan06, i'm soo very glad you walked away from this one.

very true, however there were 3 people... 1 the sol the guy in the lead . and the guy in the back, with cell phones you tell one guy, check to see if he's okay. i'm going after the other guy etc. . .
