I'd buy a TIG for that price.

I have a cheapo Craftsmen mig , but I only use it for tacking stuff.

you get what you pay for. Use a miller 251 all the time. love it

look at the lincoln power mig 255 also. Ive seen it cheaper than the miller 251. I have a lincoln tig and some other lincoln products and have never once ran into a prob with them.
