Default Headers

Which headers would you recommend??? Its all going on a 94 integra RS, with an aem cai, carsound cat., and an apex-i n1 exhaust. I would like to keep it bolt on if possible. I would also like it all to be stainless. And, i would like to gain most of the power down low, cuz i am more of a street racer, so the races usually dont last nearly a 1/4 mile.

Does the JDM 4-1 fit the B18b motor properly?

Yes, it will bolt to the head but you'll need the 2-1/2" cat and some exhaust work to make a nice smooth transition.

please use the search function.

this topic has been debated, researched, beaten to death, resurrected, then beaten again until it fell down. occasionally people would try to drag the corpse of the topic and tie it up so it can semi-stand up on it's own, then continued to be beat again....

that poor poor dead horse

thanks

Again a typical ***** response, meeting that quota.. tell me an instance where he used 'headers' in the wrong application.. Title looks good, post does too.. oh and by the way, you should have said "it's Headers" not "its".. proud

To respond to the post, u know that's what the board is for, responding to actual questions and comments, I whole-heartedly agree with 'hybrider93' above about the 4-2-1.. I have a 4-1 on my GSR and love the bigger primaries (the tubes coming from the head flange) of the 4-1.. The bigger primaries help with nitrous considerably, but when off the bottle, driving around on the street, torque is sacrificed..

On HKxGroggy's LS, the Greddy 4-2-1 worked out so much better with the daily-driver, no forced-induction application.. It was a considerable difference after the install, imo.. Also another tip would be to get a GSR tranny.. There will be no other non-motor mod that will open your eyes like that will..

About the above poll, don't waste your money on the Comptech.. I've seen the gains, and not worth the extra money, imo.. If u have the money tho, by all means it is the better-looking and -performing header.. JDM 4-1 (sigh), isn't this the global answer to every message board woe? even if u have a toyota..

So basically to sum it up, you guys like the Greddy header more than the DC Sports Header???? I tired to find a JDM header, like Spoon, or Mugen, or Toda, but they are all for b18c's and i have a b18b. I would probably go with the Toda first, then the spoon cuz they are both 4-2-1 even though the spoon has a wacky layout. Im not really all that interested in mugen.

oh, and i did do a search, but i couldnt find one i liked, it was all on seperate headers, not one whole poll about every header out there.

"Which headers would you recommend???"

May not be grammatically incorrect, but I'd assume he wanted to know which header we liked, not which headers we'd like.. I mean, I like HyTech, SMSP, the JDM ITR 4-1, etc. but for the money I'd suggest the JDM ITR 4-1.. so that extra "s" can ask a completely different question.

are we in school or something, come on guys, does it really matter if he spelled "header" or "headers"... i mean as long as u get what he is saying who cares...we're not in school for god sakes...its a car forum and we are here to talk about cars, not correcting someone's grammar...

i'm interested in this topic as well, cuz right now i have cai and exhaust, i'm looking into getting a header, but i'm gonna wait for the results of "The Great Header" test. but i do have one question though...i plan on going NA and is it worthe the $ to get a nonrestrictive cat??? if so, do they make 2.25", cuz right now i have a Comptech exhaust and i also believe that most NA headers are also 2.25", so i dont want a high flow cat to be 2.5", cuz of bottleneck, so is there any companies out there that makes 2.25" cats???? if so, do u guys recommend me getting one?

Well, unless u want to boost your post count..

i'm interested in this topic as well, cuz right now i have cai and exhaust, i'm looking into getting a header, but i'm gonna wait for the results of "The Great Header" test. but i do have one question though...i plan on going NA and is it worthe the $ to get a nonrestrictive cat??? if so, do they make 2.25", cuz right now i have a Comptech exhaust and i also believe that most NA headers are also 2.25", so i dont want a high flow cat to be 2.5", cuz of bottleneck, so is there any companies out there that makes 2.25" cats???? if so, do u guys recommend me getting one?
If u are going to do something other than i/h/e, and u actually race your car (road race, fwy, whatever), then I recommend the DC 4-1.. If u have a 2.25" exhaust the regular DC 4-1 and 4-2-1s have that collector size.. As for the cat, yes, there are a million cat companies.. I personally have a Hedman 2.5" universal high-flow cat that I got for $80 new.. There are cats in quite a few sizes (2, 2.25, 2.5, 3).. However if u want a bolt-right-up cat for your Honda, there's the Random Tech cats ($225) and maybe others, but I had the exhaust shop just hook it up with no problems..

I have a DC 4-1 (re-welded to 2.5" collector), Hedman 2.5" high-flow cat, 2.5" piping to an ITR muffler with no tip..
