worth the time?
Hey, I got my accord jan 2004, it's a 1990 LX, 2 door, white, and standard. When I got the car it had rust spots on the wheel wells, trunk, and bubbled paint (someone painted over rust im assuming), but i got it for a nice deal because the clutch was brand new ($2300 CAD).
I got hit in a parking lot and the person drove away and i didnt feel like going through insurance because that would raise my rates... so I got the whole body redone with a new paint job (same colour) for $2300 CAD. I custom painted the interior (was an ugly burgandy colour) to black (dash) and blue (speedometer dash piece) and all the panels are black with blue handles.
I have altezza euro lights, euro gauges, 2 12" kicker comp VR subs and a 1200W Power Acoustik amp...
Recently the transmission went, so i found one in good condition at a scrapyard for $300 CAD. I'm installing it myself and it's almost done... but now I'm wondering if I should put more money in the car. By next summer I'm doing the h22a1 swap, body kit and rims, but since it's an older car, other things might start to go... and if I didn't know how to install the transmission, I would be paying $1200CAD to get it fixed.
Not too sure if it's worth keeping and fixing... although I love my car which is why I'm actually spending 8 hours to swap the transmission.
The reason why I want to keep it is because I don't see ANY 1990 accords that are #1 white 2 door #2 in as good condition interior and exterior as mine #3 that are done up.
Just wondering if I should keep on going with her, I'm basically looking for a boost in confidence!
I'll post some pics once my car is out of my old schools shop... Thanks in advance for the replies!

? I just want to know if it's worth the time putting more money in my car... and I was just explaining how much money has already been put into it.
Why are people so immature?

its your money....its your car....its your opinion.... others opinions mean nothing when it comes to your money. look at KBB value of your car and tell yourself if you think its worth it.
in MY OPINION..... it aint worth it to get a ugly *** body kit, some huge as bling bling rims (thats what im guessin you want) but the h22a is worth it for the fun factor.... resale on accords is great... but resale of a heavily modified accord is ****** horrid. if you plan on keepin it for a long time.... then do what you want.
it already sounds like its riced out enough, so keep on wastin

Actually I just wanted to keep my car throughout my apprenticeship... and I just meant I was going to get a new rear bumper because i think the stock one is ugly
and as for the "bling bling" rims, nah, just something to get rid of the stock ones... I don't have that kind of money
Well, thanks for your input, I'll take it into consideration!
