Default Car drifts while braking

I know what you might think at first, I need an alignemt. But my alignment is good. Here is my problem. When I get on the brakes good, say from 40 or more to a stop, my car drifts and jerks bad to the left. Does anyone else have this problem and are there any concerns or solutions?

Check your right-side brakes.

Oh yeah.... I just installed new pads and milled the rotors a month ago. As for the calipers, i'll have to give them a check this weekend when I change my oil.

Before you buy new brake calipers, switch the passenger and driver's side wheels and see if you dive the other way when you hit the brakes. It's possible that you have a bent wheel and you don't yet know it.

I'll check out switching the wheels, I know it isn't the tires. They are only 2 months old.

You say it pulls to the left.

I would definitely check out the brake assembly on the drivers side. Check out the driver's side caliper for any binding. See if the brake piston retracts into the caliper.

When you say the car "drifts", does the front pull to one direction, or does the rear fish tail. I'm not sure if you have brake drums or disks in the rear. If it is the rear, please update us.

This is a serious brake problem. Do not ignore it.

Happy braking.

The front drifts, the back is totally fine. And I have drums in the rear. I wish I could check into this, but I can't till next weekend since I am at school now. It doesn't do it all the time, just once in a while.
