It's the chip that increases hp by tricking your motor into thinking its running cooler than it actually is-- causing damage. There are already some good topics on this mod.... search

search: chip or ebay chip this has been covered many times....it doesn't do anything really, for the people that think it does it is called a "placebo effect" it is all in your head.

Its just a resistor that you buy a radio shack for 5 for a 1.00 If you want the correct resistor Ill just post what exactly number it is but it take me a few min to find one.

you get what you pay for, go by that from now on. and if it's a simple thing like that, then there's most likely no actual research which means it's probably worse for your engine than not installing it
question: if that makes the engine think it's running cooler, will VTEC even engage? i know there's several sensors involved, and i believe temp is one of them
