There is a way to brake through a corner. It's called trail braking, I know a guy with like 40 years of racing and uses that technique. Nothin is wrong with it, you just have to know how.

Yeah, unfortunately the R is such a good car that everyone and their uncle thinks that they are Schumacher once they're behind the wheel. Do everyone a favour and leave the trick driving on the track. Not really directed at anyone
braking in a corner is fine! I do it all the time... its caled trail braking (as mentioned). REALLY helps you keep the nose down / keep weight in the front of the car.. you basically do normal braking but take the turn a little faster. Then, as you approach the apex let of the brake more and more.. finally when you hit the apex completely let off hte brake and start feeding the gas pedal. Trust me you can turn a LOT faster.
Id say 9 times out of 10 when people crash their Rs is because they instinctively slammed the brakes when they felt themselves sliding. It takes a long time to stop yourself from having this reflex. Oh, and i dont think your ITR crashed all by itself, YOU crashed it. SOrry for your loss, but maybe try and get some track time or a drivers school so you know how to handle your car at the limit. Driver training is the #1 thing you can do to improve your cars performance and safety. Just my $.02.
