short ram or cai ?
ive reasearched this before and ive spoken 2 a friend of mine who ownes a 01 type r and i dunno wheather or not i should go with the injen short ram intake or the aem cold air, i know the power gains between the 2 are about the same but the only thing i worry about is hydrolocking but i know u can buy a bypass valve but i need someones opinion which is better?

i've had cai and short ram..........the cold air doesn't seem to help any more, and honestly, it feels like the throttle response is much better with a short ram. i've heard of people hydrolocking their engines before, so if i were you, i'd just leave it short ram. the intake sounds louder with short ram too.

oh wait... you didn't search. The best thing is to run with open throttle body. I just use some screening (like for a porch) over the opening.
