Window filler on a rear skirt?....
I plan on getting the WingsWest W-Type bodykit early next spring. I was asking this guy on a local board about installations and he said to make sure that the installer uses a "window filler" on the inside of the rear skirt. He said that it prevents rocks that fly off the rear wheesl and impact the back of the urethane so hard that it chips the pain off in the front. Anyone heard of this stuff?
Any input would be appreciated. I'm a rookie in eevery sense of the word when it comes to bodywork.
Thanks.

Never heard of that stuff, but that rock chip thing happened to me and also my girlfriends car. I guess that is very common. Please let me know what you find out.

Where I live they salt and gravel the roads in the winter. I've vaguely recall some people up here having some problems with this a little while ago.
Anybody have any idea what this 'window filler' stuff might be?

I haven't heard of that stuff, rubberized undercoating would serve the same purpose, it comes on every car in certain places and its only purpose is to protect the car from road debris including rocks. the only problem is its not cosmetically pretty but certain kinds can be painted. you should be able to pick up a sprayable can at any autobody supply shop
