what year is it? i will guess it is the 6th gen v6...........it has 200hp...it really depends on wether the mustang is stick or auto. I think the mustang wins anyway

yea, hard to say... the 4spd auto really hurts the car drag wise. A torque converter upgrade from http://www.levelten.com makes a signifigant difference in the launching and power transfer department. imho, its the best upgrade I made to my daily driver('99 v6)... else there's the regular cai, free flowing cat back (single exhaust for weight, dual not necessary for the output). Also getting the stock **** rubber (michelin mxv4 plus energy) swapped out will help you get traction from the begiinning b/c there isnt all that much power but a healthy amount of torque. It'll also get rid of some of that annoying squealing during cornering at 50%. Haven't gotten around to getting the rigidity down yet, but I'm thinking a couple bars woudldo wonders for this lumbering cruiser. BTW, its a wonderful car for what it is... a smooth, quiet people mover w/ a lil hint of honda engine on the 2nd cam, just remember it is 3000+lbs

$600 might get you a header or exhaust, but not a turbo. Not even a little turbo. No too much out there yet for V6 Accords. Try http://www.nipponpower.com.

A V6 Accord should toast any V6 Mustang (auto or stick) and I'd think it's just marginally slower than an auto GT.

i've noticed there is not that much talk about v6 on this board- mostly i4. if you want a good idea of what's out there for your v6- check http://www.accordv6.com. they've pretty much got most of the stuff down to a science. no turbo that's in kit form- only customs. Even then- any FI would cost a lot more than $600. For that- you might be able to up your suspension but not much else- unless you want to get rid of the dual exhaust. but any aftermarket will kill your low-end torque or so swears a few of the members on that site. i have no personal experience with it so i'm not sure. there are a lot of people that go for the AEM CAI- but Comptech is releasing their ICEBOX for the AV6 soon. Headers are too much for $600. Another piece that is pretty well tested and loved are the DENSO iridium plugs. you could def pick up those, a neuspeed strut bar, AEM CAI, Hayden 403 Tranny cooler, and be just like everybody else so far that has an AV6. There aren't very many products for the car YET...but loads of people are starting R&D on it- you'll have to be patient and wait i guess...

man *THUD* u sure he was racing you or playing with you there is no way in hell your 6th gen brick can pull a low 14 enough to beat a newer mustang gt, w/o the aid of a direct-port 100+ shot nitrous system or 20 lbs of boost from a turbo, mad skills dont count either. Im having a hell of a hard time making enough power and extracting enough weight outta my car to bust out of the 15's much less run a low 14

edit: and i have a 5th gen, which is a bout 500lbs lighter than the 6ths

You're full of ****. Maybe the guy in the GT wasn't paying attention? In my mom's Mustang GT with heavy ragtop and shitty stock tires I will **** all over your Accord 4-banger with wires.

The newest Stangs are pretty heavy, I think my Mom's weighs about 3400-3500 lbs. Some of that is the engine to be sure, but I think an auto accord vs. an auto Stang might win (10 more hp, less weight). The Mustang V6 is not that great.

if you want to challenge stangs, buy an s2000. you have a much better chance. unless, of course, you have the money to buy an nsx.
