Default Down on Power B16b/ Compression #'s

I had my b16b tuned with hondata on a dyno. My mods are Mugen 4-1 5zigen catback, AEM V2, High flow cat and Hondata S200. It Baselined at 146whp which is really low (Dynojet Dyno) I ended up with 151whp and 103ft lbs after tuning. I did a compression test and Cylinder 1 was 210 #2 190 #3 200 #4 210 These numbers seemed low for a b16b and I am a little worried about #2. The mugen header has a medium sized dent in it but its not too bad still 3/4 open and its just on one tube. I had a valve adjustment done 2,000 ago and it dynoed low before this also. Its not just the dyno because the car feels slow. Any Ideas? also the car has a/c and power steering, Yeah I am a *****.

I dynoed the car stock 1 year ago and it made 160 to the wheels and my friend with a b16b dynoed his stock and it made 159. Mine with I/H/E and hondata tuning made 151. it should be at least 165 to 170. another b16b stock with hondata tuning on the same dyno made 173.

I was running the CTR ecu but now there is a chipped p28 in there with the s200 unit. CTR ecu put down the 146whp

I am in AZ. I know of 5 cars with b16b's in my area.

i had a b16a that dyno'd at 164whp with an
ebay intake -
type r manifold
DC 4-1 headers ..and they were over 50% closed
chipped ECU
and a CTR intake cam ...
so check your timing ... with your mods .. you should be nearing the 170whp on a B16B ... good luck ....

I did a compression test a while back on my 99 b16, and ran close to 230 across the board, with a +/- of 5. My mods are : I/H/E

the motor has about 12 track days on it so maybe it is just time for a rebuild. Gives me an excuse to stroke it to a 1.8 I guess.

Actually I would say those number are pretty low considering GSR Comp numbers are supposed to be ~270, and they're lower comp than b16b's (~11:1?)

I have lower compression test I was about 175ish all 4.

I went to track and pulled 14.2 but I am sure I can get into 13.7/8 range stock motor no intake no header. my first time at the track the ecu was giving me Griff was redling at 8200 instead of 9000

run it at track and find out. you cant just say my motor is weake.

10.8 cr on a b16b
how do you like ur b16b?
my friend has one and it really lacks torque more then i expected. i was able to stay ahead with my car even flooring it in 5th while he was in 4th.

When my motor was running good it was great. I still like it. The only motor I would take over it would be an ITR motor. Back to the topic.

have a leakdown test done,
a comp test miss ALOT, blown hg, worn rings, pistons, there are ways for these to sneak past a comp test.

But they wont sneak past a leakdown.
its easy and fast, have it done.

This sounds like good advice, but like you said it might be time for a rebuild.

New Pistons, rings, and cams, and those numbers would be much different...
( I am a big fan of ITB's)
why stroke it? You might as well have just bought an ITR motor

As soon as the car is not a daily driver it will have ITB's. I will get the leakdown test done for sure good advice Tad The reason it does not have an ITR motor is because I want to keep the car original. It is an imported CTR. I am thinking it is time for a rebuild.
