MY v tec WON'T OPEN?????? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have extensive work done to my engine it's a 95 gsr engine
block:
jdm type-r pistons
shot peened rods
polished and cut crankshaft
type-r oil pump and water pump
block guard
arp head and rod studs
head:
polished head
type-r valve train
aem cam gears
gsr cams

I have tryed it with trhee ecus: p28, p73, & p72 still no response
the ecu only shows the code for the O2 sensor althogh the sensor is in and is good

ALL THIS WORK AND NO v tec???????????

for some reason my v tec won't engage and my car is topping out at about 7,500 to 8,000 rpm but it barely makes it there it struggles to get there
i get no responce from my v tec at all
the engine is a 1995 gsr the car is a 1996 gsr
all the wire harness are good they are all v tec
at first i noticed that the machine shop took out the valve inside the
v tec solenoid but i quickly replaced it and put back with the spring and everything
i tryed running the wires straight to the computer and received no response

is there something wrong with my engine because of the low redline or is that just because of the v tec not engaging?????????????????????????????????????

Sounds like either aknock sensor or a bad wiring job somewhere?? Maybe you should look into a Apexi Vafc-II

this was very help full
as the p28 doesn't require the knock sensor, so that wouldn't be a problem
yet i have done all of those and it still doesn't work

how are your oil levels? make sure you have enough oil running through the system.A friend of mine built an ls/vtec and had the same problem you are having. We tried everything to diagnose the problem. no go.Come to find out that it might have been that the rod end caps were over tighten(forgot the actual name), so oil flow was restricted through the rod bearings which gave us no vtec. Who put your motor together?
