I have seen like tons of civics and integs with no emissions at all. People have posted tons of pics of their "emissionless" engine bays. So what seems to be the problem? I don't see any flames in their threads, but only " ". I was just wonder if I can do the same for a H22 Lude that's all. If so, can anyone advise.

Dude...seriously, what is that?

You can remove the charcoal canister and all the tubes, block off the EGR, hmmm..can't think of other emissions stuff to remove right now.

ok, you live in socal and want to make your car emissionless? BS. and if you are doing anything to that level then we do not need to fill you in, you should know it by now.

removing your emissions systems does pretty much squat for you.

Dont do anything to your car if you are in the laguna niguel or greater area. Cops are on a hood popping frenzy. Not that they know what they are looking at, but to avoid going to the state ref just leave your car alone for a few months and let **** cool off. Some kids crashed and died, so for their poor judgement, we all ge to burn for it.

it's easy to remove. just buy an egr blockoff plate, bolt it on, and cap off the vacuum ports on the intake manifold. you can also free up a little room in your engine bay by removing the black cannister to the right of your timing belt. i did it to my car because the egr valve was blocking my fuel feed line. if you are a cop, come and get me. i live in louisiana, land of clean air, and endless inspection stations who don't give a shizzle.

Do you not throw a code without the EGR plugged in?

Oh i forgot about that part. I would definitely think that you would throw a code, but my AEM doesn't know what throwing a code is. I really didn't even think about that. You have no reason to take off your egr system unless it's in your way. it's not gonna hurt you much, if any, and you may have problems with your ecu throwing a code anyways, so i'd just leave it on, especially if you live in Socal, land of the dirty air, and endless inspection stations who do give a huge shizzle. As well as the donut patrol on your *** about it. It's not worth it if it's not in your way. Unless you are the donut patrol, in which case i'd tell you to take off your egr system and shove it in your boohoo. haha

I agree with you 98TypeSH. I hardly roll around w/ my lude at all. I am trying to take all the unecessities out of my engine/engine bay, like PS, AC etc.

My question now is how do you block off the openings after taking out the tubes and stuff?

what are you talking about? why would you remove fuel injection? how do you plan on getting fuel to your car then?

LOC714-------You can just cap the nipples with plugs. you can get them from Autozone. As far as blocking off the egr valve, just buy an egr blockoff plate off ebay for about 25-30 bucks and bolt it on.

the fuel injection is the single largest part of the emissions sytem so why not remove it?

if u dont care about geting piced up by the cops then the way to go is block off the egr valve but dont remove it. cause if u remove it u throw a check engine light which is no good! the way i did it on my h22 was got a peice of 1/16" steel and cut it to the shape of my egr and drilled the 2 holes in it and then put it in between the intake manifold and the valve and bolt it all together. leave the vacume line and the electric plug hooked up. this way u are blocking the egr and dont throw a code. if u are buying an egr block plate for 20-30 bucks i ask why when you can make it for 3?????

Lets make some inferences befreo you make yourself look too stupid.. wait, too late.
Judging by the tools and scattered bolts he was working on his car at the time of the pic.
In reading his post you will realize that he had trouble with the fuel lines in the process, hence the reason for taking the egr off.
Most likeley he had to remove his intake to make it more accesable to remove the egr.
I'm not flamming you, I'm just trying to get you to read a little further before you try to up your post count with questions that have already been answered.

Oh, and yes, it would be very bad if debri got into the IM (hence the reason for an air filter)

I don't know if they are doing this in South California but up here in Northern Valley of the State. Cops are prepped with a smog station and pactically pulling everyone on the street and have them dyno smog... if you the unfortunate one that got caught in their trap.

to make the block plate just get the peice of metal or aluminum and trace the egr vavle on it and then cut it out with a dremal or a steel bandsaw!!!
