Looking to get a jacket that can be converted from a winter to a summer jacket. I'm a total n00b with what to get so I wanted to ask my fellow HT bretheren/sisteren(sp).

How much did you get yours for? Or is that the one you got with your bike purchase? How reflective is it at night? I might have to add glow sticks.

 

Not much on it except for the strips. I wouldn't ride too much at night. Fools in this area can't see us in the day, what makes you think they see us at night! Just ride with the high beams on and stay away from cars at night!

 

Glow sticks it is. I like this jacket though. Would they have these at Coleman?

 

Yeah they do. We can go there when Manuel is working. He gives me discounts and you can use your coupons! It cost me $179.

Spidi runs small, so you may want to look at one size up if you're interested in the jacket. I love mine.

 

According to kneedraggers website, I'm a 2XL? I'm 190-210lbs depending on if I'm bulking or cutting and am at 5ft 10in. I guess I should try some on soon. Thanks for the link.

Did you end up buying this jacket? I just ordered one from kneedraggers but I prolly should have searched here first but I suppose I came to the same conclusion independently.

 

I ended up buying a Joe Rocket Meteor jacket. It's held up pretty well and I just came back from the Sushi Fest out in Ricertown and the only thing that got cold was my forehead.

 

Just because price considerations or was it something else? What size ended up fitting you?

 

It was $200 and I felt the most protected in that jacket. I tried on all of the jackets (minus the leathers) and didn't feel as tough as the Meteor. I'm sure there are better jackets out there but at the time and what was in my wallet, the Meteor was perfect for me. I wear a Large.

and have poly melted onto your skin when you fall. i did ride with my northface shell over my normal riding jacket in the winter last year though; worked great.
