we put an autometer tach in and its exactly the same... do u think a p28 is in it or maybe the cam timing is off since there r cam gears in there?

I dont think he thought that, Someone probably told him to try a new tach to see if the original one was off.
Anyway. Check the simple stuff first. Make sure you have the correct ECU. That is simple stuff that you can check BEFORE you make post about stuff. Problem solving is key. That way when you ask the question, there is more background for people to go off. So check what ECU you have if you arent sure which one it is.

Pull the passenger side lower kick panel off and look to see what ecu you have in there. It should be a P2T and it's basically square. The P28 is rectangular and may be causing the rev limiter to kick in at 7900 rpm, if you have the correct ecu in there, then your tack(s) are off. It is NOT a timing issue in any way shape or form.
thanks, its not my car i gotta jdm teg, its my cousins and i dont see him much so im just workin with what im given, thanks alot guys

actually 8000-7900= 100...therefore there is a difference

They redline at 8k and hit the rev limiter at 8200 rpm

well considering the engine stops making power long before 7900 i really wouldnt complain, you are only making the car slower by going that high.
hes got crower valvetrain, aem gears, aem cold air, dc headers, apexi exhaust... i think he might be able 2 go a lil higher the 7800...
