Default Looking for a little Brake Help with a 1991 Prelude

Yeah its a old car i know i finally got around to just doing a basic brake job on this bitch and i can not get the rear brake caliper to push in i actually broke a C-clamp in half in the process of trying to push it in is there something im missing i was told there is a special tool for this year and model of Prelude by someone (true or Not?) well either way any help is much appreciated i dont have the money to go spend on new rear calipers atm at a 75+ a pop =/

It's probably the screw-in type.

The face of the caliper piston should have a cross etched into it. Take a set of needlenose pliers, or something else that will work, and screw the piston back into the caliper.

Awesome thanks for the help ill try that as soon as the sun decides to show in michigan so damn cold here this morning heh need this bitch up and running before winter hits cant be driving my baby around =P

yeah on almost all cars the rear piston must be screwed in. It sucks. I was too cheap to go buy the tool so I just found something in the garage to use. I think I used a puddy knife and vice grips or something like that.

Just watch the seal doesn't get all twisted up and tear!

I just use a wide tip screwdriver or smaller scraper to turn the piston in, it's a good idea to get some brake cleaner and a soft brush to remove all the crap around the seals before you turn the pistons in, it reduces the chances of dirt damaging the seals by making them turn in smoother.
