Default difference between the LX and EX

I'm getting into Honda Challenge and just wanted to know what's the difference between the LX and EX besides the engine. Suspension, chassis, and etc because i have a LX and i'm running with H5 for now. But i'm also considering running in H4 with the civic EX guys so that means i would have to switch everything over from an LX to a EX. Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by H4 or H5, and I assume you're talking about 96-00 Civics. In that case the EX comes with larger front brakes and most of the time rear disc brakes. EX also has a moonroof, correct me if I'm wrong.

H4 and H5 are classes in Honda Challenge. And it's a 92-95 4 door model

I read from another forum that the EX had rear disc brakes than drums.

92-95 coupes and sedans with ABS had 4 wheels discs. 96-00 all had front discs, rear drums even with abs. only the 99-00 si had non-abs discs in the rear.

hes right...the 96-00 ex's did not come with rear discs, although i think it was an optional part if you choose to have it...i have a 96 civic ex w/ abs and it didnt come with rear disc brakes...

EG EXs came with disks. The EKs did not. The only option for the EK was ABS, there was no disk option.

THE DIFFRENCE BETWEEN A LX AND EX. THE LX HAS A NON VTEC ENGINE AND THE INTAKE MANIFOLD IS ALSO DIFFERENT. THE ECU IS DIFFERENT THE HEADERS ARE ALSO DIFFERENT THE CAT IS ATTACHED TO THE HEADER. THE LX HAD THE BLACK SIDE MOLDINGS AND MIRRORS WHILE THE EX ARE THE COLOR OF THE CAR. THE EX ALSO HAS THE POWER SUNROOF AND ALSO IT HAS THE 6 SPEAKER SYSTEM HAS TWEETERS, 6 1/2 SPEAKER ON THE DOORS AND 6X9 ON THE REAR AND ALSO HAS ABS

The EX difference is you bend over further at the dealership to grab your ankles for the D16y8 motor. and yeah it comes with a hole in the roof and some power windows and door locks. Mine is 1998 ex coupe and it has drums in the back, i have never seen one with discs, are they out there???

YOU WILL PAY MORE FOR AN EX MODEL THAT YOU WILL MOST LIKELY DROP THE D16Y8 ENGINE AND DROP A B16 OR B18 ON IT IF THAT IS THE CASE GET AN INTREGA GSR OR A TYPE R

ok I think I know whats confusing everybody. Some of you are talking about the 96-00 and some are talking about the 92-95's. Diffs between 92-95 ex/lx is different that the 96-00 ex/lx.

get your generations straight.
