Damn... I was hoping it was FWD and just by having ***** tires on the rear and stickies on the front he was able to throttle oversteer that thing... Damn that would have been cool.

No, I really don't think it is. I have seen these in person over in Portugal at these events and NONE of them are RWD. Also, notice that the rear wheels are locked up half the time when he's doing 360's. The car to have in these events is the Mini, nothing else can keep up with them. Notice the window in the passenger side door for the driver to see how close he is to the cone.

I agree, the rear wheels don't look to ever be under power. It seems to me that the car is just super front heavy to keep almost no weight on the rear wheels for those 360s and obviously the nose stand.
Hmm, silly season seems to be getting a jump start this year.

Sorry 'bout that. *gets back to work now*

I saw this posted on another board. According to someone over there, this was some kind of driving exhibition that they have in the UK.
Drivers often attach individual hand brakes so they can get the rotation like that. They also lighten the car to get the weight up front and run smaller tires (well I guess tyres in this case) in the back, all for better rotation.
Don't know if it's true or not but might make sense. Gotta love that stop at the end.

I don't think this is in the UK. The announcer doesn't seem to be speaking english, and the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car...
The web site is in France, but if the announcer was speaking french, I couldn't tell...
My guess is spain, portugal, or italy. The language sounded more like portuguese than italian, spanish or french.
My, it is the silly season early, ain't it? I can't believe I just watched that video 6 times trying to figure out where it was filmed. back to work.

Not only is it a mini, but it looks like it has been shortened too. Actually, they are speaking portuguese and this type of event is called "gymkana". It's basically a REALLY tight autocross just like we are used to. Cars are divided into class and compete for times.
it's definately not in the uk, although we do have that type of competition here, also called autotesting
it's set out like that as our car parks are a lot smaller than yours
