EP3 type R help
I had a couple of quick questions, 1) will the six speed tranny from a type R fit the EP3 US version...and 2) what are the exact differences between the US EP3, and the Type R...has anybody swapped the Type R motor into a US EP3?
thanks to whoever can help me.

1. Yes, the EP3R tranny can fit the K20A3.

Yes, it's a very popular thing to do, together with the K20A2 Type S swap.
If you're wondering about the details of it, there's a writeup at EPHatch, or you could contact people like Brian Wong and Leo@PasswordJDM, who sell the swaps all the time.

If you want to do it especially because of the LSD, be careful where you are buying the parts.
In most markets, the EP3 CTR did not come with an LSD...it's an option everywhere as far as I know.
I think I like the USDM five-speed and the regular USDM axle ratio. Keep your eyes open for a Honda Torsen axle, and I think that's the ideal combination.
