i have 2 tires that have the wires sticking out now and was wondering how long i can drive them till they blow? im saving money for new tires so it wont be that long

 

Best way to make them last is to put on the ebrake and floor it.

 

^^^*rolls eyes* Just drive as LITTLE as you can. Bum rides off friends, use parents car (if applicable). Stuff like that. I feel a bit better driving on the tires I have. None of them have exposed wires.

 

well that would be kinda hard considering my car is fwd and the 2 tires are on the rear. ****, hey ges wat i found out how to make your car last forever. drive it off a cliff. if your not gonna post anything helpful y dont u go bug another forum

I would say none at all. It sounds pretty bad.

 

that all depends on how much metal is showing, and for how long it has been exposed. i have found that the tire won't blow but slowly leak out till there is no more air in it, so just be aware of the pressure at all times.

Correct. Either don't use those tires/rims, or don't drive the car at all. You're going to regret having a blowout at 60mph because you can't afford tires.

theres about 1/8 inch if that showing on 1/4 of the inner tire

 

my guess is there is absolutley no tred left on these tires? and just wondering what kind of tires are they?

Nobody can tell you. Is risking that 100 miles worth possibly ending up stranded on the side of the road?

There is no magical forumla to determine how much longer you can drive on a tire before it goes. If you hit a pothole, that could be 2 miles, if not you could go another 500.

 

Ya, no good bro. Don't drive on it. There really is no actual mileage figure that anyone can give. it all depends on speed, turns, **** man just don't risk it.

Zeix 512 are decent tires. I'll be putting them on my car agian this summer.

 

yeah, if you hit a pothole wrong on the e-way you could have a blow out and kill yourself or someone else. like ricey said, there is NO safe mileage

I argee....I had it happen once. I buddy said it was literally throwing sparks like a frame scraping mini truck
I went home right away. Borrowed some cash the next day to get new tires.

Can you borrow money? I'd get off those tires soon.

Judging by your location, and the fact there is no tread, then driving with those tires would be against the law. Just dont get on the freeway and kill me.

i didnt know it was illegal. haha dont worry i wont. looks like ill be rocking my moms auto 4drthis weekend. it has a v6 so it got cool power

LOL. That is the best way to use them and video tape it. Dude if trying to make your tires last why don't you just give up driving the car. You could be in real deep crap if your tire blows and you lose control of your car then you won't need the money for tires anymore you'll need a whole new car.

 

I have a friend that wrapped one of his tires in about 15 layers of duct tape (yes, the silvery gray stuff) and drove for about three miles to the tire store... put new tires on the car, BUT, in three miles he had worn most of the duct tape off, I do not think I ever saw him drive so carefully in my life... for those three miles.
