Default 89 Civic project: is it feasible?

I'm new to Civics, and I was hoping you could give me some advice. I found a Civic HB shell (no motor or tranny) and this is my plan. I know some of my prices are high, but I was assuming this would be the basic cost. Will this setup work, and are my prices pretty close to what it would cost?

Any input would be helpful, since this is my first project and I dont know much about the possibilities. Comments, ideas, flaming welcome.

Custom exhaust: 400
Kamikaze Headers: 275
Konig Helium: 480
Brake upgrade (front and rear disc Si or Teg?): 500
Brembo OE rotors: 100
Goodridge G lines: 127
Axxis pads F&R: 90
B16A (92-95 Si) 2250

Shocks/springs would come later.

Does this sound good and reasonable?

The b16 you want comes with a hydro tranny so you would have to get an adapter to use it. also you didnt list mounts-axels-linkage. And if its a dx you need a SI resistor box too

Si/DX front disc brakes are the same. if you want larger front brakes you need 90-91 EX knuckles and brakes. i believe you can use CRX Si or DA Integra rear trailing arms and disc brakes on the rear, but i'm not 100% on that. i know there have been lots of threads on this, so i'd try a search.

Is anything better? A B18 perhaps work better?

It sounds like with Hasport axles, shift linkage, and mounts, I'd be set. Anything else? All hasport seems like a good choice...

Just try to get a little extra cash, cause it always seem to go over the set amount.

you also need the hasport cable to hydro conversion kit. that will let you use the nice hydro tranny that comes with your b16a2 or your b18(which is better). if you go b18 go b18b from a newer LS or b18c1 from a newer GSR. also... konig heliums will cost more than that if you get tires with them. and yes, you do need tires

Yes, save up some more cash, and you could always go with a 1st gen B series, to avoid some problems, and save some money. Good luck

You might want to consider using 92-94 civic sohc vtec with a 50 shot of NOS. This motor bolts up to 88-91 civic trans (SI is best) You need to change the front engine mount to the 88-91. Then it's a bolt in swap. You have to modify the engine harness connector and add two extra wires to the car harness for the vtec.
