ok i have a guy that has some extra stuff and i asked him how much he wanted for a civic type r intake camshaft...now he says he has it and can get it in a week...i asked him how much he said 200 for just the intake...is this worth getting for the price on a stock internal b16

 

he also siad he would port and polish it for 200 that a good price? i know hes not a machinist but i think hes capable of doing it

 

you dont port polish cams.

Make sure you get vouches and a pic of the identifying rings at the end. If picking it up, better, do your homework.

while this topic isnt about anything except a CTR intake cam now is it?

You should be smart enough to search to find info about CTR cams, right? Search button is top right... you dumbass.

well if you know that you dont port an polish cams then why did you say that he will port an polish it for 200.unless your talkin about the head,an then you need to say he will port an polish the head.hope that helps you ignorant asswipe.

I think you an arrogant ***. I dont know much about B series stuff but a simple search of CTR INTAKE CAM in archived classifieds returnred 70 results.https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=935466 Most people seem to pay around 240+ SO there you go asshat. Search is your friend.

well the way you posted it made it look like you thought you could get the cam ported an polished.sometimes it helps to go that extra 4 words : )

most of the info is for a gsr or a b16 with gsr exhaust cam

i want to know is it worth it for a b16 with stock exhasut cam

i have read it is and it isnt but really no reasons why it isnt good

Anyway 200 is not a bad price for a ctr intake cam just make sure it is a ctr intake cam and not a b16 or gsr or whatever and 200 bucks for a port and polish job is a very good price my man I paid 375 for 3 angle valve job and 200 just to port match my intake side or the head to my intake manifold and the exhaust side to the turbo manifold so I would say go for the 400 bucks and get the cam and the PandP job goin

 

let me know if your still looking for one. my CTR intake with 3k miles should be coming out soon. i do have vouches on here and i do have a real CTR intake cam.
