Default Apexi V-AFC question

Okay, so I already have a Spugen single and will be going with a Comptech "CAI" and possibly an Apexi V-AFC next.

My question is that is it a viable option to lower the vtec engagement point on my MY04 to around 5200 RPMs? Would more power be made that way or would it be better to keep it stock?

I am going with the Apexi unit as opposed to the AEM EMS just because of price and that fact that I am not going all out with this car just yet.

you could only find out when you get your vafc tune at the dyno...

lowering the vtec engagement may hurt the transition, you can play around with different length filter on a stick intakes (length of the stick) and match the hump or resonance with the intake to the vtec engagement point to lower vtec and not lose any power in the transition
