Can you say RUF Yellow Bird? That car may be the fastest registered street car on the planet to this day. R&T did a big shootout between the fastest tuned sports cars the world had to offer at the time (early 90's). And the yellow bird was so dominant, it was basically in a class by itself.

If I remember correctly the numbers were something like this: 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, 1/4 mile 10.9, and a top speed just shy of 220 mph.

 

i still remember reading about that car in a special edition of road & track way back. i think it could top out at 211mph.

Yeah, the Yellow Bird was an obscene car. The driver in that clip is is friggin' GOD, too. *oh, to be able to drive like that...*

Those numbers are incredible now. Think of how incredible they were 10+ years ago when that car first came out.

That car was increadibly quick, but holly ****, I had to stop watching. The constant chaning of the camera angles in the apexs was making me sick to my stomach. Nice track, nice car, good driving. Shitty editing.

 

im sure ruf now has much fasters cars with all the new technology in brakes, suspension, turbos, engine building, head porting blah blah

either way its hot chit and that driver is borderline nuts/amazing

 

i just had a dam shower......... quess im a have to take another one.
