Ok i have an 00 jdm itr motor in my car, and a ys1 gearspeed built trans. The tranny was freshly rebuilt, and i bought it with only 200 miles on it. Every gear it seems to bind when i go to put it into gear at high rpm like around 9000. Doesnt happen all of the time. But it has caused me to mis shift a few times. No grinding just bind and not going into gear. The shiftlinkage is a homemade cut and rewelded piece. Should i ditch this and get a hasport shiftlinkage??? I regreased all of the bushings, and i event went as far as loosening up the shifter bolts quite a bit. I'm stumped.
This is easy to trouble shoot.
If you can shift fast at low RPM and have the gears go in, then the linkage as crappy as it might be is not the problem. If you still have problems shifting fast at low RPM then it's the shifter.
if you are only having proble shifting fast at high RPM then most likely either the synchros are worn or the shift forks are either bent or worn. If the synchros were replaced, then the shift forks might be bad.

Im almost posotive that the shiftlinkage is wrong. Its too long i think, i guess ill just have to get a hasport linkage.
