i think OEM is ABS plastic not sure...but yes fiberglass, urethrane, and carbon fiber bumpers/kits are all available if you look hard enough

They are made of ABS plastic from the factory. There are companies that make bodykits out of urethane and fiberglass and carbon fiber. You can even get a whole front end in one peice fiberglass. I don't believe that anyone makes the stock covers in any other material but plastic though. Hope this helps

ABS Plastic with some 'flex' components as well.
Wish mine were made out of rubbermaid the way people drive in parking lots around here..
