I have a 2000 Accord SE with approx. 85,000 miles and my SRS light just came on and will not turn off. What could the problem be and is there a way to reset this light.

I have had a problem with the driver side seat belt coming undone periodically. Could these 2 things be related in some way? I think the seat belt issue may be under a recall, just haven't got it fixed.

Also, my parking brake light comes on periodically. The brake fluid looks fine. I have heard that this may be caused by a problem with the float in the master cylinder cap. Any advice on any of these issues would be appreciated.

the supplemental restraint system indicator and the seat belt are not connected in any way, you might just have a faulty buckle with the seat belt, but for the SRS system, you may have to have your car serviced by the dealership to make sure there is nothing wrong with it. You never know.

 

disconnect your battery and plug it back in

this will not reset the SRS light....
you will need to jump the srs service connector under the dash of the drivers side....its a two prong plug....please do a search its on the board somewhere....

when my srs light went on i checked the fuse and replace it and it was still on..then i d.c my battery and pluged it it was gone..

are you sure it's not CEL?

well, if you need to reset the SRS light, check the basic accord guide ^
