Stainless Steel Turning Dark Purple
Is there any way to prevent Polished Stainless Steel turbo manifolds from turning DARK PURPLE?
I'm about to my new turbo manifold on and I would like to keep my mainfold a "Gold/Bronze" color. My friend has a polished stainless steel inline pro manifold and it looked nice at first but now it has turned very dark purple.

Because I've seen some people's setup (Hytech Manifold) and it seems as though their manifolds are always "Gold" in color.
Wipe off any and all oil residue after you've installed it. Usually, if using your hands, the oil from your hands itself can make it turn an ugly color. Wipe it CLEAN before starting the car. Some say even wipe a coat of WD40 on it to get it a golden color. But I haven't tried that, so just keep it clean.
