what cams should i get for my type r, skunk 2 stage 2 camshafts or ctr cams
i think Buddy Club cams would be a good investment. You should check out the Buddy Club Spec III and Spec IV threads in the all motor section. good price and decent power
CTR will only be slightly more agressive than stock, while SK2 stage II's will require upgraded valve springs and, if you want to maximize the potential of the cams, some kind of fuel management and bump up compression if you can.
You will more than likely see virtually the same results from stage I and II cams on stock compression. If you dont want to mess with internals, ect then get some ctrs or SK2 stage I's and you'll be fine, although I don't think you'll see considerable gains unless you go to the sk2 stage II.
If you have the cash, I'd do something like this..
p&p the head, mil head .10 or so, high compression sk2 valves, sk2 springs and retainers, maybe 2 layer head gasket, and sk2 cams. This should get you close to 11:1:1 compression, which is the minimum the stage II cams need to be effective. Good luck, I'd do some research and see what fits your budget.

no.
what he said was if you install the CTR cam you will only see a 3-4 horse increase. because there not that more aggressive than your stock cams.
if you install the skunk stage 2's then you will have to install a better valve spring. if you have the money or want to do this then cool.
but if your looking to put in a safe cam w/o having to upgrade anything and make good power then install the skunk stage 1's.
just like most cams ... just by installing them and not tunning them you will pick up considerable amount of power... if you tune them you will naturally pick up even more.

If your gonna go stg 2 your gonna need bump your compression up....sk2 stg2 cams love compression...i know this
......what mods do you have done now? You should invest (if not already) in a good, quality header and exhaust - hytech,smsp,comptech......A little more info on your setup would help....
