Default Question about installing new shocks *need help*

I currently have neuspeed sport springs installed on my car. i have koni yellow shocks which are not installed. anyways, are shocks easier to install than springs? i know i should've waited until i had both my springs and shocks so i could install them at the same time, but i couldn't wait. also, when i had my springs installed, i got an alignment done. if they install my shocks, do i have to get an alignment again? what should i do?

shock is the same as the spring install as you have to take apart the assembly in the same manner regardless of what you are doing, and yes you will need re-alignment

It should be easier this time around getting the springs off, they shouldn't be as compressed as before. Did you put them on yourself last time?

What year is your car?
My rear H&R springs were compressible by hand, a spring compressor was not required to remove or install the spring.
I also removed the front H&R springs without a spring compressor, but put it back together with a short Eibach spring.
The way I "exploded" the spring/shock was to put it long-ways between a wall and a very heavy object, and then slowly undo the nut on top (while shielding my face and body behind the wall) until the spring became uncompressed. I don't recommend this though; it can be EXTREMELY DANGEROUS depending on the spring's compression. I don't know about the Neuspeed springs. You really should undo car springs with a spring compressor. If the spring is under enough stress you could SEVERLY HURT YOURSELF. Once you remove the shock, you could just take it to a shop to have them explode it for you.
