Default cleareance issues?

i am currently building a new engine for our race car..do you think it will blow up once in vtec due to cleareance issues?

-Skunk stage 3 cams
-arias 12.5 to 1 slugs
-c5 block decked ten thousandths
-pr3 head shaved sixty thousandths

why would you shave so much from the head and the block? doesnt sound like a smart idea to me.....leave the deck surface and gasket surfaces alone.

-block decked for block guard install
-head shaved for a square combustion chamber (like the gs-r) as opposed to a round chamber.
